Period 3-Movie W

  1. Good description of the energy transfers/transformation. I knew what was happening the entire time. And the video was clear enough to see what was occurring. But one question: Was there gravitaional energy? Or was it only potential? -Maddie Centen and Kayla Illman 3rd Period

    1. Hey girlies!(: Ok back to professional science talk,
I noticed that you asked "was there gravitational enrgy? or was it only potential." i was confused because gravitational energy is potential enrgy, its just a type of potential enrgy... perhaps refer back to your paper with the energys and definitions of energy transfer and trnasformation. 7. I'm back! :D so, another question on your video was, How is the ball considered "sound energy" before it hits the ground? -Elissa Purdin, period 5.

  8. i noticed that there was sound energy. i believe that there isnt any sound when the ball is in the air. this i got from Mrs. Aker. i still love you! Raksmey Por

    1. Weeeeellll, I think an argument could be made for or against this. What if you dropped a whiffle ball through the air. Would there be sound? Is another type of ball (tennis ball) substantially different?

    2. Anytime there is friction, there will be thermal energy. Do you think there is friction in this scenario?
